We took our D-40R Traditional Series, glossed it up in our pure acrylic urethane, hi-sheen topcoat and called it the D-44R.  When Larrivée first launched the 40 Series over five years ago, we blended a non-symmetrical scalloped lateral cross-bracing pattern with our balanced X-Brace and introduced a whole new generation of tone. It's a build that allows even further vibration of the soundboard, while still offering a controlled dynamic bass response.

All Larrivée's are built in America using all solid wood. No plys, laminates, or layered woods are ever used. The D-44R features Indian Rosewood back & sides, Sitka Spruce top, single piece African Mahogany neck, and African Ebony fingerboard and bridge. Details include bone bridge pins, bone nut and saddle, diamond fingerboard inlays, bold rope binding and rosette, and perfectly ratioed18:1 open back tuners. Of course a deluxe hard shell case is included with every Larrivée leaving the factory.
